I have had a myspace page for 1 year and have only been hacked once. I think as long as you are careful and don't accept spambots as friends you will be ok. Also, don't have your computer remember your password. As with anything there is a chance you will get hacked but be cautious. Good Luck!!

people get their passwords stolen because they are dumb and sign in on pages that myspace doesnt run like survey that will post it to your page if you give them the password and username. just be smart! holla

You can only get hacked if you give out your password. Most of the time, you don't know that you are doing it, because some sites (which are called "phishing" sites) will have a fake login page and will try to get you to login there so they can have your password.

Just be careful about where you enter your password.

If you think that the page might be phony, then just go to the myspace home page and login from there again.

Yes, you can get private but hackers know some much that they can get thourgh the private blocks there is no sure way to protect your self on myspace from people you dont know just dont put alot of personal info on there.

Listen, I've had my account phished just by clicking on pages of people who requested to be my friend. I know this because I enter my password into one web page, and that's the official myspace sign on page. I am anal about that.

If you've had your account hacked there are a few ways they could have invaded your page. They could have embedded a picture under your picture. You check this by going to edit profile, click on the link at the top right corner called safe mode, then click on the tab for your pictures. Make sure all the pics are yours. If they aren't delete them. You can only tell on safe mode though.

If your friends put comments on your myspace that are for trackers or click here's then delete them as well.

They are also embedding codes in your background and pimping stuff. What you do is before you put the code in save those codes in a word file. If your account is phished log in, delete all the codes, change your password, log out. Log back in and reinsert the saved clean codes.

I'm sure there are other ways, I am in no way an expert, these are just things that I have either been a victim of or read about while trying to clean out my page.

You can set your page so that only people who know your email address or last name can request to be your friend.
