You must be added to their Friends list to be able to view their Friends. But you cannot view their list aside from that when it's set to private.

you need to download the Mozilla Firefox web brower. ONce you do that log into myspace. go to the persons myspace page and from the toolbar choose View, Page style, no style. you will then be able to see all friends and private comments. happy stalking!
